In the year 2010, during my stay in Sweden, I watched a movie “Rudraveena”. This movie initiated the thought process of doing something for my Native village. After many days of research, I understood that the only way to improve the system, be it poverty or negligence or health improvement is “Education” at grass root level.
With help of friends, we started Kakarlamudi Seva Samithi in 2011 to help the students for their higher education by financial assistance and it is running every year. Along with students, we also extended financial help to senior citizens.
During this period, I understood that many children are capable of doing wonders if identified, trained and supported at the grass-root level and can become our nation’s strength. Unfortunately, quality well-rounded education is not reaching to rural areas and it is mostly confined to corporate schools alone. Along with education, overall development of rural areas is my focus.
I would like to bring back the smiles of children hidden under their tears of poverty. This led me to start Vilag Nirman Foundation along with my great friend Ms. Anitha Ravala to serve the society in a better way.
